Santiago de Leon de Caracas or just Caracas is also known as the town of eternal spring. It is located in the northern area of the state, in the peaceful Caracas Valley below the famous Cordillera de la Costa mountain range.

Rules about car rental in Caracas

The good news for all foreigners is that they can use car rental in Caracas without any additional permits or limitation, just like with rent a car in Ecuador. Of course, you will have to provide your passport and valid driver’s license from your domestic country. An International permit is recommended.

You must drive on the right side of the road, and seat belts are mandatory.

In general, the whole Caracas is well- equipped with petrol stations. The majority of them work from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Do not be surprised if employee on a station asks you for a tip.

You will not have any trouble with parking, because there is plenty of park space in the city.
